Bikes, Trade-Ins, Warranties, and Workforce Development
When you visit Zummo, you're not walking into a traditional bike shop.
You're stepping into a workforce development program disguised as a bike shop.
That means the person helping you may be a fifth grader learning customer service, an eighth grader developing mechanical skills, a senior mechanic, a college student mentor, or one of our
experienced adult volunteers. Often, several people will be involved in helping you find the right bike.
What makes the experience different is simple:
We care.
We want you to leave with a bike that fits, feels right, and gets used.
Test Rides Matter
Every rider is different.
That's why we encourage test rides before you buy. Behind the shop we have a safe riding area where customers can get comfortable with a bike before making a decision.
A Large Selection
Most days you'll find more than 125 bicycles available at our Berwyn location, with additional inventory stored at other nearby locations.
Trade-Ins and Horse Trading Welcome
Have a bike you're no longer riding? Bring it in.
Many customers choose to donate their bicycles to support our mission. Others prefer to trade up to something different. We're pretty good at horse trading.
The Zummo Half-Back Program
If you previously purchased a 12", 16", 20", or 24" bike from Zummo, bring it back when it's time to move up. If the bike is still in decent condition, we'll credit you half of the original purchase price toward the next bike.
Our One-Year Warranty
We stand behind every bike we sell. Every Zummo bike includes a full one-year warranty, and we fix flats for free.
Every Bike Is Checked
Before a bike reaches our sales floor, it goes through inspection, repair, adjustment, and testing. Every bike is signed off by a senior mechanic before it is offered for sale.
Why Your Purchase Matters
Every bicycle sold helps fund opportunities for young people. When you purchase a bike from Zummo, you're helping provide training, mentorship, work experience, leadership opportunities, and paid employment for students who are learning how to become capable adults.
You're taking home more than transportation. You're taking home a small piece of a community that believes young people can do remarkable things when adults invest in them.
More than riding a bike.
At ZummoBike, we’ve spent years helping thousands of families find the right bicycle, keep it running, and enjoy riding together.
Now we’re taking the next step.
Zummo Learn to Ride is a fun, patient, confidence-building program that helps children—and even adults—learn one of life’s great milestones.
Our instructors aren’t just bike riders. They’re young men and women who have rebuilt thousands of bicycles, learned how bikes work from the inside out, and discovered something even more important along the way: how to encourage, teach, and lead.
Every lesson is built around three simple goals:
Whether your child is nervous, has tried before without success, or is just ready for their first two-wheel adventure, we’ll meet them where they are.
Why parents choose Zummo
Families already trust ZummoBike because we believe relationships come before transactions.
Parents know us for:
Learning to ride is simply another way we invest in our community.
Every lesson helps build something bigger.
When you choose Zummo Learn to Ride, you’re doing more than helping your child master a bicycle.
You’re supporting a community-owned workforce development program where young people learn mechanical skills, customer service, leadership, communication, responsibility, and confidence while serving their neighbors.
Every rider helps create another mentor.
Every lesson helps build another future.
Welcome to Zummo Learn to Ride.
Let’s make that first ride one they’ll remember forever.
Zummo First Ride Guarantee
If your child isn’t confidently riding by the end of their lesson, we’ll invite them back for another session at no additional charge.
Every child learns at a different pace. We’ll stay with them until they get there.
